When you create an account we collect your name, email address, company name, and license number. This is used to create and manage your inspector profile.

Inspection data

Reports, photos, client names, property addresses, deficiency notes, and all content you create within AIM Inspectif.AI. This data belongs to you — we store it on your behalf.

Usage data

We collect basic usage information including pages visited, features used, and session duration. This helps us improve the product.

Device & technical data

IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers collected automatically when you use our service.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, maintain, and improve AIM Inspectif.AI
• Authenticate your account and keep it secure
• Send transactional emails (password resets, account confirmations)
• Respond to support requests
• Analyze usage patterns to improve features
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your inspection data to train AI models without your explicit consent.

3. Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data with:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider (data stored in the US)
• Vercel — our hosting provider
• OpenAI — when you use Arti.AI features, your prompts are sent to OpenAI's API
• Law enforcement — when required by law or to protect safety

All third-party providers are bound by data processing agreements and may not use your data for their own purposes.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored with Supabase on servers located in the United States. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+)
• Encryption at rest (AES-256)
• Row-level security policies on all database tables
• Regular security audits

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data is retained for 90 days before permanent deletion, giving you time to export your reports.

You can request immediate deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@aiminspectif.ai.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access — request a copy of data we hold about you
• Correction — update inaccurate personal information
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and data
• Portability — export your inspection data in a standard format
• Objection — opt out of certain data processing activities

7. Cookies

We use minimal cookies and localStorage for:

• Keeping you logged in (authentication session token)
• Remembering your preferences (dark mode, etc.)
• Caching inspection data for offline use

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

AIM Inspectif.AI is intended for licensed professional inspectors and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
